How I sold out 10,000 copies of my book Plàtanos Are Love in 6 months?

1. LEAN ON YOUR NETWORK - About six months before my book launch, I downloaded my contacts from my phone and analyzed each contact in my network. I asked myself how can they support me and how can I support them? For example, I have a lot of teachers in my network, so I reached out to them to see how I could get my book into their classroom and school.

2. LEAN ON YOUR STRENGTHS - We all have gifts, talents, and strengths. Reflect on your own strengths and think about how you can leverage them to promote your book. For example, I have over 15 years of experience in event coordination, so I leveraged this skill to organize a mini-book tour for myself. I collaborated with bookstores in New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC, because I had connections there. To keep costs low, I crashed on my friends' couches. It was a win-win all around because I got to catch up with friends, and the content (photos) I was able to get at these events were repurposed for my website and social media to create more buzz and excitement about my book.

3. REVIEWS ARE POWERFUL - Ask friends and family to review your book on Goodreads, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon. You can use the reviews to create social media content and graphics. Plus, once you get to 25 reviews, the algorithm starts working in your favor and starts promoting your book more.

I hope this was helpful. I have MANY more strategies. Book an Author Coaching call with me, and I can work with you to launch your book successfully.
